same caught the attention of Roy Hamilton III (2X Grammy nominated songwriter/#1 hit producer and former A&R of Capitol Records) who Executively Produced her Debut Album “Sweet Dreams” that is out now.

Originally hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, same relocated to Toronto, Ontario for 6 years to pursue her musical aspirations. same was chosen to be Producer/Songwriter at the Songwriters Association of Canada’s Inclusive Pro SongWorks Camp at Universal Music Canada in 2023. same was also chosen to be a part of the TD Artist in Residence Program at Grant MacEwan University in 2023. Earlier this year same was a chosen producers as a part of SHE-Q Audio sponsored to attend the National Association of Music Merchants in California, with 13 award winning, JUNO nominated and JUNO winning female producers and engineers.

same has been featured on eTalk, is a Honey Jam Alumni (an artist concert and program with Alumni such as Nelly Furtado, Jully Black and Melanie Fiona), same won a scholarship to attend Canada’s Music Incubator Artist Entrepreneur program, same received the Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Artist Metalworks 10K scholarship, was one of Conscious Economics top 10 Artist’s for Social Change, Socan Foundation’s 2023 Equity X Production Mentorship Program producer.

same as me has opened for International acts from Karl Wolf to Jadakiss, she has also played major festivals such as Canadian Music Week and has worked with JUNO award winner Rich Kidd (Drake, SonReal), hit Producer/songwriter Fingazz (Snoop Dogg, Karl Wolf), and Award-winning Producer/Songwriter Lisa Patterson.

Though she has always been drawn to hip hop, pop and R&B same studied classical music, jazz and musical theatre. She has studied at the Alberta Conservatory of Music and Studied Dramatic Arts at the University of Alberta. She danced hip hop at both 3rd Street Beat in Edmonton, AB and gained a scholarship to train with dance instructor Danny Davalos (Rihanna, Shakira) in Toronto, ON.  She has over ten years of experience in vocal training with many prominent coaches, learning different techniques and methods. Her vocal mentor is celebrity vocal coach Elaine Overholt (Shawn Mendes, Majid Jordan). She has also trained in Los Angeles, CA with celebrity vocal coach Ron Allen (Alicia Keys, Selena Gomez).

Before her rebrand, same as me has released numerous singles and music videos that harnessed over 100K Youtube views. She also landed a sync deal with Emmy Award-winning company Bunim/Murray (Keeping Up With The Kardashians). Some outlets her music has appeared on are numerous radio stations across Canada such as Toronto's Urban Hit Music Station G98.7 FM, California Music Channel, and OK TV Germany to name a few. same as me has also worked with LA-based Artist Development and Marketing company A&R Worldwide who have helped launch the careers of artists such as Adele and Katy Perry.
